Chien-Hung Huang is an associate Professor at the department of computer science and information engineering at the National Formosa University of Taiwan. He received the PhD degree in computer and information engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan in 1999. He is the Section Editor of the SM Journal of Biology. Furthermore, he is also actively involved in reviewing manuscripts for many international journals and conferences. He is the PI and co-PI of more than 15 national funded research grants in the last 10 years in the area of bioinformatics research. Dr. Huang has published many articles in highly ranked journals such as Information Sciences, BMC Systems Biology, Amino Acids, Computers in Biology and Medicine, Computational Biology and Chemistry, Journal of Supercomputing and Discrete Applied Mathematics, in the areas of algorithms, cancer network, robustness study of biological networks, domain–domain interactions, non-coding RNA, protein function prediction and DNA data hiding method. Currently, his research interests include drug repositioning, bioinformatics, graph theory and algorithms.
