Biography

Rohit Mathur, Ph.D. is a postdoctoral fellow at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He obtained his B.Sc. in Biology and M.Sc. in Biomedical Science from University of Delhi, India. He completed his doctoral studies with Dr B. S. Dwarakanath, and Prof. P. N. Kapoor at Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Science, and University of Delhi. His graduate work focused on the interaction of Topoisomerase IIα and Pin1. He has completed several studies in his postdoctorate on long non-coding RNAs, and other chemoresistance mechanisms such as resistance to Fas mediated apoptosis, and targeting tumor initiating cells in Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. His current research interests are strategies that can reduce chemoresistance and relapse in Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and other cancers.
