Francesco Bellanti, Research Associate at the University of Foggia, Department of Medical and Surgical Sciences, Institute of Internal Medicine. Medical Degree in 2004, Specialist in Internal Medicine since 2009, PhD in Medical, Clinical and Experimental Sciences in 2013. He spent some periods at the University of Strasbourg (France; 2002) as Visiting Student, at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares “Carlos III” in Madrid (Spain; 2010) and at the Scottish Centre of Regenerative Medicine in Edinburgh (UK; 2013) as Visiting Fellow.
Awarded several Italian and International Research Bursaries and Prizes (Young Investigator Bursaries by the European Association for the Study of the Liver, Awards by the Society for Free Radical Research-Europe, “G. Montel” Research Award by the University of Foggia, “Premio Condorelli” by the Italian Society of Internal Medicine).
Managing Editor of the Journal of Gerontology and Geriatrics; Review Editor of Frontiers in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Neurology and Psychiatry; Editorial Board Member of the World Journal of Hepatology and the Internal Medicine Research Open Journal. Reviewer of several International Journals.
Mitochondrial Metabolism and Redox Cell Signalling in Liver Diseases and in ageing/neurodegenerative diseases. He has recently been founded for a project on the role of redox signalling in liver stem cells activation and differentiation.
