Dr She-Ning Qi is a Professor at Department of Histology and Embryology, Lanzhou University School of Basic Medicine, and also at Key Laboratory of Preclinical Study for New Drugs of Gansu Province. He gained his PhD from Lanzhou University School of Life Science in the year 2005. He serves as editorial board member and also reviewer for various peer-reviewed journals.

His major research interests include the role of semi-synthesized podophyllotoxin derivatives in inducing apoptosis of cancer cells, and also traditional Chinese herbs in inducing differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.
