Dr. Patel earned her PharmD from the University of Connecticut School of Pharmacy. Prior to joining Mercer, she completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice and PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. During her residency training, Dr. Patel also held an Adjunct Instructor position at the South Carolina College of Pharmacy. She is an active member of several pharmacy organizations, including the American College of Clinical Pharmacy and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. Her research interests include transitions of care, medication safety, and impact of pharmacy on chronic disease state management. Dr. Patel is currently a clinical assistant professor of pharmacy practice at Mercer University College of Pharmacy in Atlanta, GA. She also practices at Grady Memorial Hospital’s Cardiac and Internal Medicine Clinics where she teaches pharmacy students and pharmacy residents in experiential setting.
