Luciane –Psychologist, and received her PhD in Psychology in 2014 with a concentration in Cognitive Neuropsychology from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil (UFRGS). Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher fellow in Neurocognition, Early Experience, and Development (NEED) Lab, Teachers College, Columbia University, NYC, NY.
My researches focuses on how early childhood experiences can affect cognitive development, especially memory, language and executive functions. As a postdoctoral fellow in the NEED Lab, I plan to expand my researches by investigating how early socioeconomic disparities shape the brain's structure and the mechanism underlying this association, such as stress and home language environment.
