Daryush Talei was born on 23th of May 1969 in Ardabil one of the historical cities located in Northwest of IRAN. He completed elementary in his hometown and secondary and high school studies in Sari, Mazandaran province, Iran and obtained his BSc degree in the field of Agronomy and Plant Breeding in 1992 (Mazadaran University). He obtained his MSc degree in the field of Plant Breeding from Azad University of Ardabil in 1997 and Ph.D degree in the field of Plant Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2012. He is an of Assistant Professor Plant Biotechnology (Proteomics) in the Medicinal Plants Research Center, Shahed University, Tehran, Iran. He has been working in Shahed University since 2000. He was involved in statistic and experimental design for 15 years in Shahed University, Iran. He has conducted some research projects and published more than 40 papers in ISI journals with 301 SCI citations and an H factor of 11. He is Editorial Board member of Journal of Medicinal Plants Studies, International Journal of Botany Studies and American Journal of Plant Sciences. He is known for contributions to the development of protein extraction in medicinal plant of Andrographis paniculata, experimental design and statistical analysis.
