Biography

Luca Guglielmo Pradotto works as Neurologist and Researcher at the Research Institute Istituto Auxologico Italiano in Piancavallo, Italy. He obtained his degree in Neurology at the University of Turin in 2004 and he was awarded a PhD in Experimental Medicine and Therapy from the University of Turin in 2014. His main interests are clinical, neuropathological and neurobiological research on movement disorders, neurodegenerative diseases, amyloidoses of nervous system, inherited cerebrovascular diseases. Since 2005 he has been the main researcher and the coordinator of research projects in the Laboratory of Clinical Neurobiology of the Istituto AuxologicoItaliano. Since 2010 he has been the neurological referent for the Interregional Register of Rare Diseases for the Piedmont and the Valle d’Aosta. He also co-authored the guidelines of the Piedmont and the Valle d’Aosta for diagnosis and treatment of the Primary and Familial Amyloidoses. Since 2014 he has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Italian Association of Neuropathology and Clinical Neurobiology. He has co-authored a number of papers published in peer-reviewed journals and he is also a reviewer of both open access and subscription journals such as Journal of Neurological Sciences, Muscle & Nerve, Journal of Neurology, Neurosurgery and Psychiatry, Journal of Case Reports and Studies, Journal of Neurology & Neuromedicine.
