Dr. T. Velmurugan B.S.W., M.S.W., Ph. D. (Professional Social Worker) has been working as an Assistant Professor at JIGJIGA University in Ethiopia since December 2021. Prior to his current position, he worked for DMI - St. Eugene University-Zambia, Africa as Senior Lecturer, Programme Coordinator, Vice-Principal (Academic), and Quality Assurance Officer from October 2015 to November 2021, and he also worked for DMI - St. John Baptist University, Malawi, Africa for two years (2013-2014) as Head in the department of social work. He has over 15 years of educational and industrial experience in India and abroad. In his academic career, he has worked as a Professional Social Worker, teaching several courses to Bachelor and Master degree students. He supervises Bachelor, Master's and PhD candidates on projects. He has Published multiple articles in reputable journals, books, book chapters, and presented talks at various national and international conferences. He received the best Academic Excellence Award - for Academic Leadership in 2019 and the International Distinguished Educators 2020 Awards. He is also a Life Member of the International Institute of Organized Research (I2OR), (membership Number: I2OR/2020/00886- Oct 2022), and an Editorial Member of a reputable journal, he is holding various membership with different professional forum. He is a self-motivated and team-oriented theme player.
