Dr. Sneha S. Bandekar (Earlier known as Nandini M. Naik) I am highlighting my life sketch with my work experience in my teaching carrier.  I have joined KLE Engineering College in the year 3rd December 1999 and have been serving from then. This has been a very good learning experience and has helped me to excel in my path towards my scientific carrier.    I have served for 23 years  in various cadres as Senior lecture, Assistant Professor and now Professor and Head of Chemical Engineering Department. Further, I have completed my Ph.D in Environmental Engineering from Shivaji Univesrsity Kolhapur on 09/04/2018. I am highly grateful to my KLE Society for identifying my good works and promoting me to the prestigious post of Professor in the department of Chemical Engineering from 1st of August 2019. I have completed my PhD under the valuable guidance of Dr. Girish S. Kulkarni Director Shivaji Univercity Kolhapur & Dr K. B. Prakash, Principal, Government Engineering College , Haveri. My PhD title is “A study on the behaviour of petroleum soaked concrete and its impact on groundwater pollution”.  I consider myself very fortunate to be able to successfully guide 20 bathes of UG Chemical Students amongst 09 bathes are sponsored by KSCST (Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology) and two post graduate students batch. I have been awarded grants of Rs. 40 Lakhs for my proposed project titled, “Synthesis of silvernano materials from plant extract and its microbial activity” in the year 2019-20. This would aid me for carrying out quality research in the field of Nanoscience Engineering.  I intend to build a dedicated lab in our college with required infrastructure for carrying out the research in nano-technology and nano-medicine related applications by using this funds. Students will highly benefit from this lab and this will make them industry ready.

So far I have been conducting my research in the field of chemical Engineering and Envoronmental engineering and have come up with 18 papers in good international journals and 5 in international and two in national conferences. I have actively contributed as internal ISO coordinator from past 15 years also I am a  internal ISO auditor.  I am involved in department NBA file updating and part of NBA accreditation which has helped our department to get NBA accreditation and gain reputation for our Chemical Engineering department. Apart from these academic works, I have been serving as ladies hostel warden from the past 18 years. Looking forward I intend to continue my research and work towards the upliftment of our students and society. Recently in 2022, as CO-PI  I have received 20 lakh fund for “Removal of Phenol and heavy metals using microwave assisted photo catalytic reaction”, from AICTE under research promotion scheme. I am a member for 3 editorial board such as IJEM Hongkong, IJERAT and Diverse Field Articles journals. I have reviewed more than 10 papers of peer reviewed journals. I have received best paper present award
