•    Dr. Esquivel-Upshaw completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines in 1991. 
•    She completed her residency training in Prosthodontics at Northwestern University in 1994 with a Masters in Advanced Dental Education and a Certificate in Prosthodontics. 
•    In 2009 she completed a Masters in Clinical Investigation at the University of Florida, College of Medicine.
