Dr. Nanda was born in 1985 and earned his doctorate in Materials Sciences and Engineering (Biomaterials) from international graduate school of National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), Japan in 2014. In his doctoral thesis, he worked on the development of drug releasing porous scaffolds from polymeric biomaterials and applied those on skin, cartilage and bone tissue regeneration studies. He holds the background of B-Tech in Biotechnology and M-Tech in Nanotechnology. Between 2014 to 2015, he held the position of a post-doctoral fellow at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) where he worked on preparation of cerium oxide nanoparticles for nanomedicine applications. From 2016, he is working as a Research Fellow in at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. His research interests include development of drug releasing porous scaffolds for soft and hard tissue engineering and reconstructive surgery, novel bio-adhesives for wound care, micro- and nanoparticle engineering for controlled release applications and Lab-on-Chip medical devices for healthcare applications.
