Mohs surgery is also known as Mohs micrographic surgery. Mohs surgery is a precise surgical technique used to treat basal cell carcinomas (BCCs) and squamous cell carcinomas (SCCs) type of skin cancer. During this surgery thin layers of cancer-containing skin are progressively removed at highest accuracy. Examine until only cancer-free tissue remains and sparing healthy tissue with smallest possible scar. Mohs Surgery can be treated on hands, feet, ankles, shins and genitals and high risk complication of treated on trunk or extremities for uncomplicated, non-melanoma skin cancer.
