Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (IDDM) is also known as type 1 diabetes mellitus. The pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin which results in high blood sugar level in the body. The symptoms of type1 are polyuria (frequent urination), polydipsia (increased thirst), dry mouth , polyphagia (increased hunger), fatigue, and weight loss. Type 2 diabetes is non-insulin dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM).
